Two new family lines from Rogialyn
With the intention of buying another stud sire at the national and nothing grabbing our eye on the bull front, we perused the females and were impressed by the pair of heifers presented by Houghton family from Bowral, NSW. Rogialyn Tarella Y12 was a stand out female that pushed the boundaries of femininity, she is ultra thick through the pins and over the topline, but she maintains her wedge lines from above and from the profile. Her carcase data supports her physical attributes and she is in the top 1% of the breed for EMA.
Her stable mate, Rogialyn Antoinette Y15, is a tidy middle of the road female that complements our breeding program. She combines low birth weight, high milk and positive IMF. On arrival both heifers were flushed to Bundaleer X Road X37 where we collected a dozen ‘A’ grade embryos. Shortly after this they were naturally joined to Bundaleer Cashflow Y6.
