At the conclusion of the Murray Grey World Congress the physical possession and marketing rights of Bundaleer X Road X37 had been secured by several individual breeders for a combined sale figure of $67,000.

Bundaleer X Road x37

Physical possession and Australian marketing rights were bought by the WOODBOURN Murray Grey Stud from Tasmania for $20,000. Country marketing rights were bought by ASHROSE Murray Grey Stud in the UK, GILMOR RANCH in Canada and EAGLE RUN RANCH has the marketing rights for the USA. Commercial Queensland cattleman Rod Duggan also bought a package to put over a line of females. International marketing rights have been retained by Bundaleer.

The completion of the sale however hinged upon passing a string of health tests and the collection and delivery of high quality semen into the various countries. The final consignment recently arrived in the US and passed inspection requirements. AI and ET has now been carried out in all three countries using the semen, with a highlight from Kris and Diana Anderson (USA) collecting 19 embryos from one female by X Road. Quarantining and collection of Bundaleer X Road was carried out by Total Livestock Genetics from New South Wales. We found their service professional and most helpful and would recommend their facility.

Bundaleer Crossroad is sired by Bundaleer Uncle Sam U18 who has sired a number of top females in the Bundaleer herd who have plenty of volume, thick square butts and supple udders. His dam is Bundaleer Remembrance Day S130 who is from the Opal family line, they have produced bulls such as Bundaleer Prophet P2, Monterey Gotcha, Southend West Rowan and Monterey Starman.

A purpose bull that can do a superb job

The first line of 25 commercial calves by 'Crossroad' were born in 2004 just outside Capel, Western Australia. They were all out of F1 females (Angus X Fresian) and they compared favourably - they consistantly finished earlier to the older Charolais calves that were running in the same mob and were several weeks older.

We are very pleased with our second line of calves by him, they are out of our mature females and they possess plenty of growth, thickness and eye appeal.
