Bundaleer Daddy Cool D74 (PB)
We rate Daddy Cool as one of the most promising bulls we have bred at Bundaleer. The combination of phenotype, EBVs and pedigree are second to none.
He is a moderate framed bull (6-6.5) with massive growth figures and very solid set of carcase numbers. It is little wonder that he has terrific capacity and consitution with all his weight figures in the top 1 percent of the breed. He has exceptionally thickness through the hips and pins and his well-to-heavy muscled pattern is evident over the spine, jump muscles, thurls and butt profile.
His pedigree has stamped its' mark. His dam (Y23), granddam (T30), great-granddam (R28) and great-great granddam (N29) have all been traitleaders for growth and/or milk. Y23 is a large volume female that continues to thump out exceptional progeny on an annual basis. True Blue, D74s sire, is the highest growth bull we have had at Bundaleer and claims the largest raw EMA scan for a 17 month old bull (140cm2) in the breed. We have been very pleased with True Blue's calves, his sons have been consistent in type and we have retained the majority of his daughters.
Breeding wise we consider he is an all-round bull that could be joined to a range of types. We view the majority of females would be middle-of-the-road, mature cows, whereby the intention would be to put some shape, thickness, capacity and lift the growth figures without increasing frame too much.
Package Price: 10 straws for $150AUD (excluding GST). Semen is clear for dispatch to each State and Territory of Australia. Price rise will occur in January 2011 (>$50/straw).
